Joining a Live Class
Before the Class
Live classes happen in real-time with a teacher and other students. Here’s how to get ready and join when it’s time.
What You’ll Need
- A computer, tablet, or phone with a web browser (Chrome or Safari recommended).
- A working camera and microphone (built-in is fine).
- A stable internet connection.
- Any materials listed on the class page (check before the session!).
How to Join
- Log in to your account and go to your Dashboard.
- Find the upcoming class — a Join Class button will appear when the session is about to start.
- Click Join Class to enter the video room.
- Your browser may ask permission to use your camera and microphone — click Allow.
In the Video Room
Once inside, you’ll have access to:
- Camera toggle — turn your video on or off.
- Microphone toggle — mute or unmute yourself.
- Chat — send text messages to the teacher and class.
- Screen sharing — share your screen if the teacher allows it.
Tip: Join a few minutes early to make sure your camera and mic are working. If you run into trouble, try refreshing the page or switching to Chrome.
