Troubleshooting Video Issues
Common Issues & Fixes
If you’re having trouble with video or audio during a live class or while watching on-demand content, try these steps.
Camera Not Working
- Check that your browser has permission to access your camera. Look for a camera icon in the address bar.
- Make sure no other app is using your camera (Zoom, FaceTime, etc.).
- Try refreshing the page.
- If on a laptop, check that the webcam isn’t physically covered or disabled.
- Try a different browser (Chrome works best).
Microphone Not Working
- Check browser permissions for microphone access.
- Make sure your microphone isn’t muted in the video room controls.
- Check your device’s system sound settings — make sure the correct mic is selected.
- Try unplugging and reconnecting any external microphone or headset.
- Refresh the page and rejoin the session.
Video Buffering or Freezing
- Check your internet speed at speedtest.net (5 Mbps+ recommended for live classes).
- Move closer to your Wi-Fi router, or switch to a wired connection if possible.
- Close other tabs and apps that might be using bandwidth.
- Turn off your camera if you don’t need it — this reduces bandwidth usage.
- Try lowering the video quality if the option is available.
On-Demand Videos Not Playing
- Refresh the page.
- Clear your browser cache (Settings → Clear browsing data).
- Disable any ad blockers or browser extensions that might interfere.
- Try a different browser.
